20 YEARS OF MINISTRY Photo_part2

I am thankful for many things this year: hope that only comes from our heavenly Father, health, love of family, friends, provision, opportunities to serve others, a ministry center where we can fulfill our calling, and the future.

The single parents that we walk alongside daily are thankful for provision, friendship, that their children are finally sleeping in their own beds, for brand new tires on their vans so they can drive their children safely around in the Colorado snow, childcare so they can get a break from their kids, food from Care and Share to supplement their grocery budgets, wood from the Lodge so they can stay warm when their furnace breaks, counseling for relational conflict and parenting struggles, hayrides and movie nights, a place for their children to go when they are in the hospital, and for family.

Our mission remains the same after 20 years of ministry: to defend the orphan and plead for the widow. We continue to fulfill the scripture of James 1:27, “Pure and Undefiled Religion in the sight of our God and Father is to visit widows and orphans in their distress…”

The Lodge at Elk Valley has become essential in our calling and mission. A Place of Hope, Quiet, Healing and Rest. We are thankful, privileged, and honored that God has provided such a Family Retreat and Ministry Center to be used for all of His purposes.

As the holidays approach and our 20th year of ministry comes to a close, we ask you again to continue to join us by investing in the lives of single parents, children, leaders and families. Your tax-deductible donation will help us finish the year strong. We can only move forward with God and the generous prayers and financial support from our friends and donors.

For His honor and glory,

Gary & Lois Sprague
